Josh and Alex grew up fixing things together, but the real roots of RhinoLift go back even earlier. Josh learned hard work and fairness in his grandfather’s mechanic shop in small‑town Carolina. He watched customers trust his grandpa because he treated every repair like it was on his own car.
Across town, Alex saw his dad build a software company where people felt valued. Employees stayed for decades because they were respected, supported, and given a chance to grow.
Those two lessons, craftsmanship and care, shaped them long before they ever crawled under a house.
Josh and Alex became best friends as kids, roommates in college, and eventually business partners. After years of construction internships, financial training, and real‑world experience, one dream kept coming back: build a company that takes care of people the way their families taught them.
In 2022, they made it real. RhinoLift Foundation Solutions was born to lift homes, lift families, and lift the standards of an industry that needed fresh air.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Sciences from Appalachian State University and a Master of Business Administration – Finance from the University of South Carolina. Josh has worked in commercial & residential construction for over eight years and has been in the Foundation Repair & Waterproofing industry for 7 years. Josh is a licensed General Contractor in North & South Carolina, previously owned a foundation waterproofing company, and acted as a General Manager for a startup in the foundation repair industry before founding RhinoLift Foundation Solutions.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from Appalachian State University and a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Alex is a licensed CPA and spent almost three years as a Senior Associate with a “big four” accounting firm. Alex worked on large bank audits and assessments of large construction companies. Before co-founding RhinoLift, Alex managed a team doing a very detailed analysis & audit of a large commercial bank.
